Volunteer Applications Open
Volunteer applications will be accepted via website during this time period.
Please read role & age requirements before choosing a role. All volunteers will have assigned tasks to attend to and therefor be unable to supervise any children in their care. Please attend as a Guest instead if you have children to care for.
There is mandatory volunteer briefing sessions for registered volunteers on December 6 at 9am in person OR December 10 at 7pm online.
Non attendance at one of the Volunteer Info Sessions will cancel your registration.

We appreciate the time given to volunteer at this very special time of year.
Please see below information and read the role duties before applying to be a volunteer.
– Volunteer applications will open in October 2025.
– Minimum age to Volunteer for Usher & Catering is 14 years old with an accompanied guardian who is also registered to volunteer. Table Host and Security Roles are for those aged 18 years +
– All volunteers will attend a briefing on 6 December or 10 December to comply with our safety regulations and insurance requirements.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
December 24 – Event Set up – 1 pm
December 25
Volunteers Arrive – Roles have allocated times
Guests Arrive – 11am to Noon
Welcome Address – Noon to 12.15
Food Service – 12.15 to 1.15pm
Entertainment – 12.15pm to 2.30pm
Event Conclusion – 2.30pm
Event Pack Down – 2.30pm onwards
Pre Event
• Complete mandatory online
training
• Attend Volunteer Induction
Event Day
• Arrive at required time , register
your attendance and change into
provided volunteer t-shirt
• Familiarise yourself with event
layout
• After guests are registered, escort
them to a selected table and introduce to Table Host
• Tables will be called by colour for
food service. Assist table hosts if
needed with mobility impaired
guests
• Clear litter as needed throughout event
• Notify First Aid if needed to any
medical issues
• Return volunteer t-shirt
before leaving event
Pre Event
- Register yourself and receive confirmation email
• Attend Volunteer Induction
Event Day
• Arrive at required time ,register your
attendance and change into
provided volunteer t-shirt
• Select a table
• Familiarise yourself with event
layout
• Familiarise yourself with the
contents in your Host Pack
• Greet guests as they are brought to
your table by an Usher
• Brief guests of event timetable
• Initiate conversation – avoid topics
of religion, politics or culture
• Listen for MC to call your table
colour to attend catering area
• Assist guests who have mobility
issues
• Keep conversation flowing and table
tidy
• Complete host feedback form and
place in box at front of stage
• Encourage guests to complete guest
feedback forms and place in box at
front of stage
Return volunteer t-shirt
before leaving event
Pre Event

Event Day

your attendance and put on apron

• Meet at catering station in carpark
for briefing by Catering Manager
• You will be assigned a station by
Catering Manager
• Tables will be called by colour for
food service.
• Second round will be called
by MC once all guests have been
served
• Notify Catering Manager if needed
to any medical issues
• Return apron before leaving event
All volunteers must attend a pre-event briefing on 6 December 2025 at 9am or Online on 10 December 2025 at 7pm
